Every Culture builds monuments to embody their highest aspirations, their technical knowledge, their myths, and their history. Sometimes these monuments are of stone: the Egyptian and Mesoamerican Pyramids, Chartes Cathedral, the World Trade Towers. And sometimes of words: the Bible, the Koran, the Upanishads.
In scope,envisioned like Wikipedia or Google, but with a the central organizing principles of an organism or a work of art, A Monument of Wonders seeks to involve millions of readers, listeners, collaborators and co-conspirators to create a multi-media monument to explore and expand our conceptions of time, consciousness, and language, and by so doing transform ourselves and our world.
